🎄How should you capitalize on the Holiday Season as an Indie Hacker?

Hey indie hackers!

I was recently thinking about the fact that the Holiday Season is getting closer and closer and I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions/ideas about how we as Indie Hackers can try to make the most out of it?

Looking forward to see what you guys think : )

I think that's going to depend heavily on your product and what stage it's at. I've noticed it's easy for me as an entrepreneur in a stage that's still mostly development to get sidetracked by new business opportunities or things to add to my product when I really should be working on getting an MVP.

With capitalizing on certain trends like the holidays, it falls in the same vein. So I think if you're still mostly in the dev stage and don't plan on releasing in early to mid december, then you should ignore it and focus on more important things.

If you already have something out, then you can post the usual hubbub about holiday offers and sales on social media or on a website banner.

    Curious, what are you developing?

I see. I'm still mostly in my dev phase with my project at the moment with my project affistash.com. Me and my co-founder are building a tool for beginner and intermediate affiliate marketers that helps them find quality programs/products (hand picked by our team of experts) and we also give them all the tools in order to start generating profit(sales scripts, marketing tips, content samples, etc.). Our startup is called affistash.com btw xD

So I'll probably just either ignore it or try to capitalize and get some pre-sales in the process.

Thanks for the good advice : )

No problem. I'm wondering if you could make this a double sided platform and also allow businesses to find affiliate marketers as well?

Kind of like a Tinder for affiliate marketers and businesses :)

        Good luck!

We let businesses the opportunity to apply to be on the platform as well, but that Tinder comparison definitely gave me some ideas ;)

Probably offer a deal and submit on deals sites and groups and if I'm not ready yet get deals on integrations that makes it cheaper to develop my product

I will try to push out as much content as possible and gift as many promotions as I can!

Thanks for the tip Adrian! I'll definitely try to create some Holiday type content, maybe even some podcasts during this season
