I also started taking on freelance missions and eventually, I made the leap and quit my job to become a full-time solopreneur and freelancer

100% agree. But don't set a goal to eventually live solely off my side business. Because once you do it, you enjoy it for few months.
And after few months, you will move your goal post saying " I should make X from this business" . Then once you do it, again you will enjoy it for few months
And after few months, you increase the X. But still it don't bring you the happiness that it bought to you before.
I would suggest you to put a goal that's something bigger. Potentially that should take at least 10 years to achieve.
This is interesting. What would a goal like that would look like?
To be frank, I am not sure.
I did set a goal based on money generation and after achieving it, I increased it . moved my goal post.
I achieved even that. Now moving the goal post again don't make any sense.
Make a meaningful, significant difference in the world.
I've got quite a collection of big goals that would "change the world" or at least improve certain industries/domains of life in significant ways. I'm not working towards them strategically right now because I'm still in a handicapped position (single parent, health challenges, longtime unemployed).
But I've got the vision and some real solutions in several areas - food, health, sports, governance, civil discourse, education... (and some game ideas I can't let go of).
Not sure if this has any value to you, but you mentioned only setting monetary goals. If you want to chat we could share perspectives.
I mean, for example, you could set a goal to build some low-rent housing, or schools or other infrastructure in the developing world, or personally help and mentor X# of homeless people, or youth, or single parents, in your country... etc.
If you have your health, and stable finances - you are very blessed. Many things you can do.

100%. It takes time, it takes discipline and it is not easy. You might get lucky but for most...it is hard. Hopefully, it is worth it. My journey was made easier when I found a partner to work with. We both stayed accountable.

I'm learning no much building my project it's insane. I learned about programming, DB, API, security etc. but more than that, I'm learning about myself. Side projects and entrepreneurship are a magnifying glass directed at my own mind. Much instrospection is needed.

Entrepreneurship involves a lengthy journey filled with hurdles, but as they say, it's the journey that matters more than the destination.
While entrepreneurship may be challenging and fraught with obstacles, it's often said that the journey itself is more significant than the end goal.
