Hey Indie Hackers 👋
I'm in the process of reflecting and rethinking what I post on social media. Some context: I write a weekly newsletter and have been posting on TikTok and IG for just under a year without much traction.
I found this helpful article from Ghost that really helped me create a new strategy for my social content and I think everyone would benefit from it, especially if you post from your personal accounts and are trying to drive people to your product/service: https://ghost.org/resources/content-strategy-creator-funnel/
It basically applies the concept of a marketing funnel to a one-person business. It breaks it down into 4 steps:
Discovery = create short and free content where your audience hangs out (e.g. Twitter, Tiktok, IG, communities)
Trust = invite your audience to engage at a deeper level (free newsletter, book, video)
Access = deepen the relationship with your true fans (paid)
Purchase = provide your most engaged fans with something they can't find anywhere else (paid)
I'm going to test this strategy, but I'm curious to hear if anyone has advice or other resources to help with this. And if you want to be brutally honest and give me feedback on my Tiktok (@fawziammache) and IG (@futurewithfawzi) content, I'm here for it!
