How to advertise a new lead generator on my blog?

I just worked for a month on a lead generator to get new subscribers to my email list. It's a list of 50 creative resources for mastering web development. I'm pretty proud of it and think it will be very helpful for beginners but I'm not sure where/how to share it?

It just pops up on my blog as a sign up form. Would it make more sense to make a landing page to link them to? I feel like it's weird to direct them to my blog and wait for a popup or scroll to the bottom of one of my blog posts.
