How to assure users that I value their privacy?
Dear Gang,
I've created this browser extension for inbox cleanup and ran it through 20 random people with UserBob, asking what would be their main reason NOT to use this. Most of them, predictably, answered that they're afraid to give access to their email boxes, although I tried my best to assure them I won't.
Can you please take a quick look at https://detoxbox.xyz/ and tell me if I should add or change something to make users trust me? Also, I'm not a native speaker, so if you spot anything wrong, please tell me!
What is UserBob?
I think the only way to do it is to build social reputation. Your first users will be the ones that don't care about privacy, and then the ones that care a little bit will see them and go "if it's ok with them, it's ok with me" and so on.
Looking at your homepage, I don't see anything that would help with that trust, other than maybe having testimonials from famous people.
There are a few things that could be improved. I would have GMail's screenshot without a theme, so it's familiar to most people (who don't use a theme).
Stylistically, I think it can use a lot of improvement, but I'm not sure what exactly. I would probably copy the style of a trusted company, maybe look at Stripe? Something like that.
Good point, I guess I could write whatever I want to assure people, but testimonials are much better for that purpose.

UserBob is a service I used for getting feedback, you pay $20 and get 20 1-minute videos from random users who open your page and tell their impressions (or answer a question that you are interested in; mine was "what would prevent you from using this service?").
