Have you ever searched for Instagram marketing on google? You have. You'll find plenty of tips on blogs and Instagram courses if you do. They are a fairly good way of growing your followers on Instagram. No, wait! Really?!
It will take you about six months just to understand and learn all that stuff.
So I've come up with my own, highly irresponsible, sloppy way of learning and growing followers fast on Instagram - at the same time.
This has worked for me wonderfully. I was able to get to 25k followers within 6 months. Nice, right?
It has two steps to it, and the first step is auditing your current method. Don't worry, the great part about this step is that it takes about 5 minutes. With all the time you save, you can binge-watch on Netflix.

You don't have to figure out what you are doing right or what you are doing wrong. Just tick the box against each question and you are golden.
A score of 100% is perfect, over 80% is tolerable, but less than that and you've got serious problems. The truth is that most Instagram accounts would score less than 30%, you have got an opportunity here.
Of course, these are not the only factors that determine success or failure on Instagram, if you are able to create great content or earn the likeability of your audience, who can stop you.

Do you have a mission statement?
Mission statements, tell the world who you are. This is how your followers will relate to you. So make sure no matter what you're selling - a product or service, or any kind of creative content, you have a mission statement. This also helps you in setting up your Profile bio.
Do you have a list of products or services you sell?
Generally speaking, if you marketing on Instagram, you are marketing, something you do. You may be selling physical products or services - like teaching coaching or consulting. Or Helping other brands advertise through you.
Do you have a roadmap for your products or services?
So you may be just starting out or you may be using Instagram for a long time. Whatever the case, you need to have a roadmap, so that, you know, how your products or services will evolve over time?
Do you have other social media accounts?
See when it comes to social media. cross-platform, marketing works. So, if you have a Twitter account or a Facebook account, You need to use those accounts, to ask your audience to actually come and follow you on Instagram and vice versa.
Do you have a website?
Now, if you're serious about what you're trying to do, you should have a website or at least a landing page. It helps take people to a place where they can probably subscribe to you or the by-products or services, you offer.
Do you know your current audience?
What kind of people actually come and follow you on Instagram? What is their persona? What's their age? Where do they live? What their interests are. This is very important information. You should know that.
Do you spend time finding the target audience?
The more, you know, about your current audience and who would be the ones actually interested in what you offer, is the process of finding the target audience? And this helps grow your account tremendously.
Do you have a marketing pitch?
Marketing pitch, defines, Why? What? And how? Why do you exist? What benefits do you offer? And how do you offer those benefits? To your audience.
Have you set up goals and objectives?
Do you want to increase your brand awareness? Do you want to find more leads? Do you want to sell more? Now, different goals and objectives lead to different methods of marketing. So, you need to define this first.
Have you identified your brand style?
Is your brand serious? What kind of color or font you should use? If you are not consistent, your brand doesn't look good or cohesive.
Do you have a task management system?
There are various different tasks, you do to grow your brand. On Instagram and beyond. Do you have a task manager? Do you use any online tool or a spreadsheet?
Do you save your ideas and inspirations?
Especially when you're on Instagram, you see a lot of different brands who you may take inspiration from? A lot of times, you're cooking or driving and you get some idea, if you're not collecting them in one place, then it's more than likely that can forget it.
Do you have team members or hire freelancers?
If you don't have any team members or freelancers, working for you, your target should be to have them as soon as possible. What it means is that you have grown enough that you cannot manage everything on Instagram yourself.
Do you have a content strategy?
Do you know what kind of content you're going to put on Instagram? What your content pillars are? What is the main theme? When are you going to post? What are you going to post?

A lot of people randomly type in hashtags at the time of posting. But you need to have a hashtag strategy where you keep sets of different hashtags which you use. In a way that they are relevant to the posts. As well as you can measure different sets and see how they perform.
Do you have a system to engage with your audience?
It is very important on Instagram, to engage with your audience. If someone sends a comment, or a DM, you must respond. You may also create engagement by commenting on others' posts. What you need to make sure is that your message is the same and consistent.
Do you collaborate with other influencers and creators?
This is very important on Instagram to grow. You can collaborate with other influencers, micro-influencers, with 5,000 - 10,000 followers, or even bigger accounts if you have money to pay them. This introduces you to a lot many other people who don't follow you yet.
Do you advertise on Instagram?
You may not need advertising all the time, But from time to time you give a boost to your sales campaigns or just would like to test the performance of your post by advertising it to a certain group of users.
Do you know your competition?
Knowing competitors teach you a lot. You get to know what is working. And what kind of content to create. It helps you learn more about the audience you want to target.
Do you use social media management tools?
Now, if you're posting like a pro, Instagram management and scheduling tools come in handy. They take care of most of your postings. So, you can schedule for multiple days ahead of time at once.
Do you manage all the information you need for Instagram in one place?
Managing Instagram is daunting, where do you keep your mission statement, content strategy, content database, etc. Do you save helpful guides and tutorials? If you don't have a single place, then you are always struggling to find them. And you're wasting a lot of time in that process.
