How to build a proxy service that uses residential IPs
I think there is a good opportunity in this business since most of the services that currently exist are super expensive. I would like to try it.
I think I know how to set up proxies on demand but firing up a bunch of VPSs through an API but they'll usually have the same subnet, or very identifiable IPs.
Has anyone tried to do this, any pointers?
It's a trade secret, no one would disclose it publically I suppose.
haha. You might be right. I'm hoping not because I help people build apps all the time for free. That's just mindset I evolve in. But maybe I'm naive?
Luminati isn't THAT expensive...
I guess you mean luminati's datacenter ips are not very expensive. I agree, but their residential IPs service is expensive. They require a commitment of at leat $500/month upfront.
IMHO, many indie hackers don't have that kind of money to throw at a side hassle.
