How to build a related following?
I see a lot of posts or blogs from hackers talking about how they started their products saying things like 'I just tweeted out to my 50k following and got loads of great feedback and signups' or 'I wrote a blog post about it and got loads of pre-orders' etc. and I'm wondering what the best way to start this is? What kind of things to write about, how to eventually build that kind of following?
It really depends what you're into! You need to find something that you're passionate about (and can motivate yourself to write about), and that you have experience or expertise in.
Thanks for the reply Tom, I'm mainly a programmer so I think I'll start by writing some basic programming tutorials :)
