I wanted to start today’s post with a quick story, the story of how our co-founder, Paolo, joined Altar five years ago.
For Paolo, it all started 10 years ago. He took the decision to move away from his London-based corporate job in investment banking to pursue his true passion: entrepreneurship.
He’d been sitting on an idea to build a marketplace for the social events space and decided it was time to do it.
Like so many other stories of first-time entrepreneurs, Paolo made some serious mistakes along the way that eventually led to him shutting down the project.
But, as is often the case, as one door closes another one opens.
During that project, Paolo met our other co-founders, Daniel and André.
Just like him, they’d also built startups from the ground up and overcome many of the classic entrepreneurial hurdles first-hand.
Between the three of them, they had launched over 10 projects. So when they came together to launch Altar, they had one shared mission:
To create a product & software house designed specifically to help entrepreneurs launch successful startups.
Six years later, we’re proud to say that we’ve helped build over 50 startups.
And now, we’re looking to take that shared mission one step further by democratising the frameworks we use so that any entrepreneur with the right expertise and business vision can apply it to their own product.
And, seeing as a vast majority of the entrepreneurs we work with set out to build SaaS products, we thought that creating a resource that applies those frameworks directly to the SaaS process would be a great place to start.
So that’s exactly what Paolo did, you can check it out here
