How to build your email list of off Medium.com?
Hi,
I built some following on medium.com for my publication. I want to build an email list from my followers, however medium.com keeps it private. I want to build an email list to provide more information for my audience in the future. Someday, medium can go offline and all my efforts would be wasted.
Do you have any tips on building your email list off of medium.com?
I have seen some writers add an extra line at the end of their post, somewhere in the lines of:
If you want to [related benefit X, Y, Z], click here to download my [PDF, etc]. (leads to a landing page for email opt-in)
or
I send out the best stuff I found on the web for X, Y, Z, you can opt in here.
or
Some writer take 40-50% of their post and put it on Medium and at the end say that the rest of the post is on their website.
(it leads to their actual blog post on the site, and they make sure they have a e-mail pop-up)

Thanks Ben! Great tips. I'm just publishing my articles on medium and displaying a sign-up form that I created from Mailchimp for now. I'm trying to try ConvertKit and Drip but I'm not sure yet. There are more than 200+ members in my medium publication but there are only subscribers to my emailing list yet.
