How to create a successful business partnership

Hello everyone; as we approach the official launch of our multi-project management platform simpletasking.com, my focus is moving from technical into marketing and sales. We are 3 weeks away from the launch.

We believe that the best we can do to take care of the sales and marketing of our business is to partner with experienced sales and marketing teams.

Now we have a mostly finished product that shows great promises. I can't offer participation or partial ownership of the product we have created as It seems that doing so will be extremely risky and a cause for issues in the future.

So I want to ask my fellow indiehackers: How should we go about finding the right partners to support sales/marketing and create the correct incentives so that they also greatly benefit from early participation?

We want to find something that is fair, creates a BIG incentive and also removes any risks short and long-term associated with partnerships, having in mind an exit or sale of our product at some point.

Thank you!

Start an affiliate program & referral program. It’s common to offer a percentage of LTV for affiliates (sometimes for as long as the customer is still a customer, sometimes for a set period).
I recommend offering up to influencers in your target vertical.
    Measure, rinse, repeat.

I like the idea of sharing for as long as the referred client remains a customer. Is there a platform that can handle this?

There has to be...somewhere lol. I haven’t looked for a platform yet.
At least to start, you just use a spreadsheet to keep track of The Who & What.
