How to drive traffic to pages?

Hello everyone! I recently launched https://xpath.co, and it is a place where travelers and tour guide can connect. Travelers can find tour guide base on their location. I hope I have explained the concept well enough!

The problem is that the traffic is very low (and no conversion at all, but that is another story). I have tried facebook posting, blogging, adwords, but somehow people don't show up on site. Do you have any tips to increase the traffic?

    Really cool idea! 👍

no conversion at all, but that is another story

You mentioned conversion is another story, but wanted to note that there doesn't seem to be much incentive to sign up unless you're actively looking for a buddy. E.g. I like the idea and may use it at some point, but don't see any need to sign up until I'm going on my next trip.

You may want to add some promotional incentive while you're running ads / driving traffic: "Sign up today to receive 10% off your first travel experience" - or add ref params to your links that you're posting around and tailor it to the platform you posted on with a closable banner on top: "Hey Facebook, enjoy 10% off by signing up today [CTA]". By putting that content in a closable div, it adds some sense of urgency since once it's closed, it's gone.

any tips to increase the traffic?

[Public] social media is a great way to drive traffic. By public, I mean platforms where you can see anyone's profile, such as Twitter or Instagram. Create a page for XPath, post some content with hashtags, and then start liking/following people who are interested in travel. The easiest way to do this is search for other travel companies (e.g. Expedia, thepointsguy, etc...) and look at who's actively liking their content, then engage these people.

I'm in the process of building tools to automate this for you. Feel free to check it out and sign up for Beta if you have any interest: https://cloudcampaign.io

Hope I could help at least a little bit!

    Hi there,

Looks like a great product you are building! Congrats. I have some experience with driving traffic to websites. In my opinion it comes down to writing a lot of compelling and shareable content. This helps not only attracting users to your platform because you have a story to tell, but also helps boosting your search engine presence. You can also pay for customers (Adwords, Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads) but if you can depends on your budget.
