I'm using Substack to create and distribute my newsletter and I'm looking for a way to embed a poll directly in the newsletter?
Ideally I'm looking for something equivalent to the already existing Twitter and Youtube widgets that Substack has. A link to an external poll is always an option, but if there is a way to embed a poll directly in the newsletter it would be great.
Is this possible?
Any recommendations would be much appreciated?
I built my own using a few lines of Ruby code and I embed this into every VimTricks edition. I haven't seen any out of the box solutions for this yet, sadly. But I believe @yaroslawbagriy is working on something that will accomplish this kind of feedback gathering.
Ah cool! I checked it out and it's a really simple, elegant solution. I will probably have to do something similar :)
Yeah like Colin said, I'm currently working on an out of the box solution for this here. Signup for early access here http://newsletics.com/ :)
This looks awesome. Signed up!
Thanks haha!
Cool! Will the solution have something similar to Substack widgets that can be embedded in the newsletter itself?
Yes that's exactly my plan :)
Sweet, I have signed up! Will keep an eye on it ;)
Awesome thank you!
Hi Nico!
Wrote to you in DM. Hope it help.
Bill Murphy at Understandably has something really interesting like this, basically lets people give him 1-5 star feedback on each post -- not sure how he does it exactly but might be worth taking a look!
Cool, thanks! I'll check it out.
