How to ensure we’re not breaching the Trademark of a big brand with the same name?
Building a product, called Noggin on noggin.so. There is another platform, noggin.com owned and run by Nickelodeon.
How do I check to make sure we’re not breaking any trademarks? How to prevent any future issues/claims? Should we worry about discoverability if our product is in a completely different business?
Regarding breaching someone's trademark, that's answered by a trademark search which a lawyer performs as part of applying for your own trademark. I bet there are some search tools you can use yourself. One thing to keep in mind is that trademarks can be for one industry or all industries, so even if a company has a trademark on one, you could still use it on another.
