How to figure out the probable demand for a course I'm planning to put together?

I'm planning to put together a course. This is related to software engineering (not AI or ML, so it won't be something very very high in demand right away). But, first, I would like to figure out what would be the demand for this course, I'm planning. How do I do that?

Or, do you reckon, it is too much to try to measure that? Just roll the dice and see where it goes.

Thanks in advance.

Pre-selling your course would be the best way to measure demand, I think.

Use online tools like Google trends, Ubbersuggest etc.

Using the right tools means you can search for keywords and related keywords on the subject/s you want to create your course about.

Look at your competitors and see if they have a community forum and read the complaints of the users. Then try to reach out to those users and see how much they care.

Software engineering is high deman, but it is always better to narrow it down a bit more. One way to test the demand is to try to pre-sell it.
