I think you should go through some form of co-founder dating. There you can ask and answer each other all kinds of fundamental questions. You should do that in order to figure out if your expectations and core values align now, and in the far away future. I can provide questions I found most useful so far if necessary. Though you should come up with your own in the first place and there are also a lot of inspirations online.
