I am afraid that I have made a big mistake during my ideation and validation phase and therefore I am desperately seeking for your advice that might help me getting my idea straight.
Since one or two years, I have been working on a SaaS B2B business that is supposed to create deeper connections between business owners and their customers. I was so convinced by the idea and felt like I knew the secret/magic key that would enable business owners to excel at a whole new level with their customers.
But here comes the problem... with all that eager I never thought about actually finding a business owner that is willing to open up and talk about the problems that my idea is supposed to solve. To describe this with a metaphor: I'm afraid that I have formed a key that is currently looking for a lock rather than the different way around.
Im super interested in hearing how you guys started to build up your first customer contact and how you collaborated during the MVP phase.
Cheers and thank you so much for your help,
Jorim :)
I’ve been on a similar journey. Built a B2B SaaS marketplace platform and currently grinding to meet business owners. Haven’t found the perfect formula yet, but leveraging LinkedIn and existing connections to gain introductions worked in the early days! Don’t sound like a salesman, ask for a meeting to get feedback on your product. Once you get a meeting, ask them questions, go deep to learn about their motivations, problems, successes, etc. Once you believe your product can help them, pitch them and get that feedback. Then ask if they’d like to use it in a pilot program!
Thats a great answer! THank you so much haydn.
Cheers,
Jorim:)
Just like you said, do you really have a door to open? Who are you target customers?
