How to find a good market

Yesterday, I wrote about how easy it is to sell ice cream on a crowded beach: justinjackson.ca/beach

Today, I’m at the local fair.

There are hundreds of vendors.

But there are also huge crowds who are hot and thirsty; lots of demand for cold drinks!

Go where the crowds are!

What a good article, thanks for sharing.

Any tips on finding the crowds online? I've dabbled around with some SEO tools, looking for what people are searching for, but the information available is overwhelming. But I guess that's the trick, to know how and where to look. :)

Take notice when you hear people say:

      • "I just bought X."
      • "I just started doing X."
      • "I just switched from X to Y."
      • "My friend recommended X, so I tried it."
      • "X is way better than anything else I've tried."
      • "It seems like everyone in my Slack group is using X."
      • "I've been looking for something like X, but all I can find is Y."

A good read. I somehow could not understand the idea behind channels. Apologies for my poor understanding.

When you target a solid market (with good distribution channels)
What do you mean by distribution channels?

Ways of reaching the customer. In software, it typically means marketing channels. For example:

      • lots of searches on Google for a particular keyword
      • ability to reach the target customer through Instagram ads
      • huge tradeshows where you can set up a booth and meet thousands of customers

Nice. I get it. :) Channel is like a bridge. More lanes on the bridge can bring more traction.
        Market <-> Channel <-> Product
