πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ How to find early adopters for B2B developer tools?

I've recently launched my product Docbot (https://www.docbot.dev) on Product Hunt Ship. It's a tool that writes your documentation for you, freeing up time to work on important things.

The MVP has been built based on my experiences as a Software Engineer, studying docs at other companies and a few conversations with others.

Now I'm trying to achieve 2 things:

  1. Have even more conversations with Engineers, EMs and CTOs.
  2. Find an early adopter to try the product.

How can I most effectively achieve these? What's worked for others building similar products?

Is this product meant to help engineering teams with internal documentation? Or do you see it as a tool for technical writers who are working on customer facing documentation that describes how to use a feature? Or both?

All of the above are intersting, but would want to know more how this works.

Internal documentation. Docbot saves teams time by writing and maintaining large parts of your internal docs.

↕️ We pull data from a number of different sources that you tell us about. For example: code (Github), API endpoints, infrastructure, Slack, etc. Then present it in a clear UI that isn't just a wall of text.

πŸ€“ Paired with expertly curated content like technology courses and reading lists.

Here's where we see the biggest benefits:

πŸ•“ Time. Spend less of it writing and more time building. Docbot is always kept up-to-date as your business changes.

🐣 Onboarding. Our docs can help new starters onboard by letting them know what technologies are used and where, how to setup their machine and providing excellent educational resources.

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ’» Day-to-day. Docbot aims to give an awesome DX where everything is searchable and relevant. You should be able to find what you need and move on as quickly as possible.

If you're interested in finding out more then please do subscribe to the mailing list at https://docbot.dev. Also happy to talk more about your teams needs.

I checked out your site and Feedback: It looks like its a mobile page and the background is streched. The popups are spammy and please get rid of the upbeat music in the demo. In general, give a more clean refined look UI-wise (doesn't have to be real), especially for B2B.

Hi Jamie, just checked your product's page and think that 85% of people close it without understanding what it is about.
"Write less, build more. Docbot writes docs for engineers.." - this slogan is based at the very top and few people read it. Than I have a concern as a non-tech guy what are these docs what's product's value.
If you make a tech-savvy product - use strong phrases so it takes 5 seconds to understand how people can save time with Docbot.
If you're making a non-tech-savvy product and people like me should understand what you created - sorry, didn't get anything.

I can help you out with first getting paying users, but will need you to share more info. Let's connect on Twitter.
