How to find local businesses to contact?

Hi all, I have not been on IH for a while because I have been working on starting up a new project. My plan is to start wholesaling my product(cookies) to local businesses and small regional chains. However I find it very difficult to find email list or even just lists of businesses in towns near me. Does anyone have any experience in this kind of area. Any help would be appreaciated
