How to finde a niche
This is a question I have for the IH community. We are looking for a niche to launch our CRM for and was wondering how we research/find an underserved niche.
Are there any tools or technologies that anyone is aware of that can help us to find one?

I have heard from non-profits (3) that they want a CRM but salesforce seems too expensive, too complicated, and too much training/investment. Granted non-profits are not an ideal market since they don't have spare cash. Another tactic I've used is approach friends who are using competing products and ask what they wish it did.
P.S. it's unusual to build a product then look for a competitive advantage. Rather, look at what your product does better then find customers who feel those advantage(s) are critical.
Thanks for the advice! The product isn't really built yet. I would consider it a platform for building what the product will eventually be. Had to get all the plumbing in.
Yeah, frustrating how you have to get the foundation, framing, plumbing, etc. in before it's really visible and useful. (semi-sarcastic, I've spent a stupid amount of time getting the plumbing in for my app)
I'm not in the CRM as a product world these days, but in the past it worked well for us to find local clients who couldn't find a CRM solution that met their needs but ours did (with some additional development), and then we tweaked along the way to better meet their needs while finding other clients with similar needs, some of whom were referrals. And thus we more or less stumbled into our niche.
