How to further grow my app? Stuck around 2000 users

I built an app recently and promoted it on reddit. It was also featured on nextpit as app of the week so with that I am around 2000 users.
But now I am stuck as I am confused on where to further promote. I got good results from reddit but I have already promoted on most subreddit related to my users.
I am a first time founder and I have no experience in marketing and have a little budget. I need some tips so that I can further grow my app.

    Start with an affiliate plan. With 2k people using your service (which is great by the way) turn as many of them into fans/your sales team as possible.

    Since doing this, I've not had to do any sales or marketing. My company grows completely organically because I do my best to take care of the fans, the community, using the platform. And they do the rest.

    Hey @hardhguy, that pretty much depends on your specific situation, whether you are B2B or B2C, what the product is about, who your perfect user/customer is etc.

    Anyway, several fast suggestions:

    • email cold outreach (if you're B2B) - find your perfect customers, find their emails and reach out to them directly, we have great results with this tactic
    • social community outreach - something like you've done on Reddit but try to extend it to Discord/Facebook/LinkedIn/Twitter etc., reach out to discussion and contribute with value, don't promote in the first place
    • social ads - Google Search / video ads
    • content marketing - blogging, podcasting, vlogging... it depends on what activity you're comfortable in
    • product viralising - create some reason why people should share your product or recommend it to others, you have potential 2,000 promoters, give them reason to promote it 🙂

    Most importantly - focus on value in all of the activities (including emailing and ads), not just product promotion. Remember people want to solve some issue at the moment, they don't want to hear about your product.

    Here are a few marketing ideas that require $0 in budget --

    If your product is B2B --
    Go on LinkedIn/TikTok and search for creators, relevant tangental product companies, and groups that have your customer as their audience. Engage with posts by commenting, liking, and sharing at least 5 times per day. Make sure your profile is complete and tells a story about your product.

    If your product is B2C --
    Do the same as above but on TikTok.

    Start a referral program for your current customers and incentivize WELL. Give them a very compelling reason ($$$) to share a referral link with their network. This works even better if it is built into your onboarding flow.

    Start publishing content (writing, podcasting, or video) that provides value to your audience. Educate them on solutions to common problems they face. This doesn't have to be directly related to your product. Just think a little more broadly about what your customer cares about and what you're an expert in... write about that!
