How to gather a team
Hi,
I've got an awesome idea of a mobile app but I can't manage to gather the right team for it (i mean partners in business). The problem is that the idea is great and fun but very complex on a technical point of vue.
(image analysis, AI, and image treatment)
How did you manage to gather your teams for your projects ?
Find out what you can offer developers/designers that they can't get elsewhere. I mean they've probably received several offers with partnership/equity.
For example, I run a small web/app development and design agency here with two of my student developers. I'm 21 myself which is already young but since they were 18 and 19, I took them out to Apple's workshops, Hackathons, meetups, etc in other cities. The money I get from there was funded onto our side projects. Luckily since they were students, money was less demanding than experience. If you can offer your team something in return than just money, chances are they'll stay committed and faithful to you. We also work on AI/Facial Recognition, Blockchains and complex stuff.
You can look for potential teammates on Twitter, Angel list and probably here but it takes time to build trust online. Do video conferencing very often because otherwise, it's just another person behind the screen.

I've got an account on angel list, but i didn't think to use it as a tool to team up.
Not sure what you've already tried so it's hard to tell you what to try now.
For me, the best plan is to try and break down your solution into the smaller executable steps. Don't try and assemble the whole team now, just gather the people you need for the first step.
Gather the momentum you need to get going, and as people see you making progress it can be easier to get more people on board later.
Yes you need layout the whole solution and the plan for finishing, but focus on the next "small" step first.

I'm located in Paris, do you think it's possible to team up with people from different places ? I don't think there is many french in that community

Well, you can find someone here. But also you may not. I tried one day, nobody replied. I don't know why. I think it's because 98% of people here have their own ideas. So it's good place to talk about some indi-hacker problems but not the best place to find a team.
