Hey hackers!
Just finished writing a super in-depth guide to influencer marketing (based on our experience of generating $350k/mo from it).
It's a tricky channel to master (dealing with complex personalities/influencers, etc.). But we seem to have a pretty tight grasp on it now.
Here are some main highlights you guys might find relevant:
Influencer marketing in 2020 - narrowly defined. But your main goal with it will be to generate sales or user-generated content. Almost no one cares for brand awareness.
Define your influencer/audience type - usually best to go with macro/micro influencers. Scopeapp is super useful for this.
Outreach - upload influencer info into one long Google sheet, use Yesware for email outreach (see our template inside), ask for rates, average story views.
Managing relationships, outsourcing info gathering, 10 other influencer marketing campaign types you can focus on, based on proven results, SOPs, and more - check out the full article!
@irakli_zv - that's one fine piece of content marketing. Very thoughtfully written, and very authentically helpful. Hope you guys get tons of traffic from that article, and get lots of business leads.
I can say, that after reading the article, and checking out the site, I would definitely consider working with you guys to grow a brand.
Though, I am confused about one thing. You show a graph that spans Mar 1 - Aug 12, generating $12.M however, you don't:
Can you provide more insight into those questions above?
Also, does your company have a minimum monthly engagement fee or minimum project fee? Just trying to gauge how much a brand would need to minimally invest to work with your company.
Hey @iammike, super glad you liked the article!
Right now, we're too full to accept new clients. We'll open our application again in around Q1 of 2021. We work with a revenue share model + minimum retainers based on revenue and many other things.
Until then though, you can swing by our private Facebook group for some more exclusive content/case studies - https://www.facebook.com/groups/ecommercegrowthbysugatan/
Hope this helped!
Thanks! Yeah, I applied for the FB group yesterday, but have not been approved yet. I answered the 3 questions, but it doesn't look like my answers were saved.
Looks like you've had some great success with this @irakli_zv. Do you think that influencer marketing works best with selling retail / merchandise type products?
Yes. That's what we've had the most success with - direct-to-consumed products. Skincare is huge and pretty much always an active 'issue' with the target audience in that niche. And there's always a ton of influencers (as well as lifestyle influencers and personalities, in addition to skincare personalities alone) that you can tap into. Also had success with activewear and beauty brand products.
As a cherry on top, there's a LOT of angles you can focus on in your copywriting here, as their pain points are super important and personal to them.

Hey Clayton, glad you liked the article.
I've actually heard of collabstr! Seems to be useful for generating user-generated content and communicating with influencers. Similar to Influee.co, if I understand correctly.
We're using Scope right now and Yesware for email campaigns. Will be sure to pass it along to our influencer marketing team though! :)
