How to get a profile picture to show on Gmail when my newsletter goes out each week.

So the current email that I use to send out my newsletter each week is linked to Gsuite, and I've set a profile picture on there, but when I send out the newsletter every Friday, it just uses that generic lettering in the circle.

How do change this to see a logo/profile picture?

If by logo or profile picture you mean the same you have in your Indie Hackers account, I actually already see it in your newsletter.

Really!! I don’t see it on my sides 🤦🏻‍♂️

You need to set a profile pic on your Google account (which I think could be different that the one you use for Gsuite).

It's funny, I've set this for both already. I have a personal @gmail.com that I used to buy Gsuite, and then I obviously have my custom domain linked to GSuite with a profile picture is already set, and still nothing.

Mmm strange... Now I'll have to check if mine works 😂

There is a new standard called BIMI that's going to be adopted in a (hopefully) near future and should solve this problem.

    Hi Nic,

I ran into this about a year ago. I followed the instructions outlined in this article by James Cridland https://medium.com/@JamesCridland/how-to-get-your-logo-or-picture-to-appear-with-your-emails-in-gmail-and-inbox-by-gmail-if-you-89650077be7.

It appears that there might be a new way to do this with a Google Brand Account.

Thank you, ill take a look at this, I think I might have to reach out to support as this article is a bit old.

I have a custom domain email that is already linked with Gsuite, would I have to make another pointless Gmail account?

Hey, did you get this sorted out? I don't actually use Gsuite, but I managed to do it about two weeks ago by signing up for a Google Account, but not with a Gmail address.

This was pretty counterintuitive (as in it took me two tries), so if you're still having trouble let me know and I'll talk you through it.

Hey there. Yes eventually I got it to work, but I can’t for the life of me know how I did it.

It just randomly started to work, the other day.
