How to get a waitlist?
I'm having difficulty getting people to either sign up or tell me why they aren't interested to sign up.
I've done 50+ customer interviews prior to this and had positive feedback.
For some reason, people were more generous in sharing their time during the detailed interviews vs now entering their email if the product interests them.
I'm trying to understand what the problem is and how to solve it. Is my product not appealing? Is there a problem with my communication of the product? Am I not reaching the right audience? Is it something else?
Any tips on how to fix this? Also any tips for where to find large audiences to test my hypothesis?

Honestly, the site is pretty bad in terms of UX, UI, design, copy, and all of it.
What are you actually selling? It’s not mentioned there. I had to view your IH profile to find out what it is.
Also, general contractors aren’t known to hang out online, waiting for clients. They’re using traditional local marketing tactics to find clients, and they usually work out. Even if they went online, they’ll just go to Craigslist and BAM! You can find clients.
Doesn’t look like a viable opportunity.

You are absolutely right about contractors spending limited time online - I was hoping to focus on services that do have online visibility like cleaners, nannies, tutors etc - but thanks is well-taken feedback.
What platform are you using to build the site? If you’re using Wordpress, there’s a lot of awesome templates that you can use.
In my opinion, your best bet would be to pivot into being a platform for tutors. You can look up studypool. It does the same thing but it has rigorous vetting process.
Build the platform and invite some college students to sign up as tutors. Then market the platform for appropriate demographics in different communities.
