How to get early adopters or beta users?

I have a landing page to acquire early adopters or beta users with an email subscribe, however, the beta version is still yet to release. Where would be the best places to promote this landing page?

Some that I know:

  1. Betalist.com - usually a ready products are more likely work here.
  2. betapage.co
  3. reddit group - not really getting any result
  4. indiehacker community

      Thanks! Quite a list!

Reddit has never worked for me. I usually encounter a lot of vitriol that could actually end up hurting my product.

Agree! I couldn't agree more! Much like toxic comment or hatred among startup or product.

I got really lucky with Product Hunt. Got 100 signups in 2 days with https://usetag.io :)

That's really good. How many upvotes you got in total? I've also discovered 'upcoming products' and 'ship' that introduced by Product Hunt. Haven't use it before.

Sitting at 406 at the moment - https://www.producthunt.com/posts/tag-af20f605-f79c-40e5-a6cd-ec5c66fe20c8 (was briefly #1 but launching on April fools probably wasn't the best idea in hindsight) Yes, I'd definitely use those features next time to try get some extra subscribers in! Good luck :)

I listed mine on BetaPage. The response was good especially from Newsletter. I tried to list my product on Betalist also but it seemed costly, so I dropped.
Besides try HN there showHN section is good to submit products. or Ask HN with a caption " would you like to Beta test ------"

Actually you can still use betalist for free, however, you'll have to wait for a month of waiting list and no 100% guarantee of listing.

Thanks for suggestion HN, going to check out soon.

I guess it depends on your product too. Who is your target market?

If you think indie hacker types are the best, then the above list sounds relevant, alongside Product Hunt.

But often it is not enough, and founders should be encourage to look further afield...depending on who their ideal customer is.
