How to get feedback?

Hey everyone!
We just launched the Open Beta for our cross-platform Database Tool (www.querypie.com), and although we’ve had quite a few people sign up for the Beta version… we’re having a hard time getting feedback from the users.
I want to reach out to them personally to ask about their experience, and what features they would like to see changed, implemented or expanded on… I’ve already reached out once (sent over 50 personalized emails with 0 replies).. but I’m worried about emailing again and bombarding them/scaring them off/annoying them (and therefore leading to unsubscribes).
Anyone have good advice? :[
That's a great question, thank you for asking! I struggle with it and don't have a great grasp on it either, so I'm excited to hear what others have to say.
One thing you could do is reach out to non-users. Cold email people asking if they'd mind chatting to provide any advice or feedback. Doubles as sales too.
Another thing you could try is to pay people, like they do with more formal user research. Rocket Surgery Made Easy is a great read on the topic.

To be honest, sending 50 emails to people who signed up and getting literally zero replies, seems either very unlucky or not quite right.

Not bad. I'd make it much much shorter though. Reason why shorter is better is cause then they only have to reply a line or so if they want. 10 line email subconsciously makes them think they've got to write a long reply.

I haven't been able to get good advice from emailing users who sign up.
Try posting to hacker news? Seems like the perfect product for them.
Also following @kris2 add why you're different.
If not email, is there another platform or method that you have used that's provided some good feedback/results? :[ I just really want to hear back from the users on what is working and what isn't...
And PostgreSQL will be released soon! We're almost finished preparing it!

Our selling point, and what makes us different, is our cross-platform capabilities, collaboration feature, and design aspects (it's really pretty for a database tool, if I do say so myself.. :] ) .. but we also have enhanced security/encryption via blockchain planned for the future on our roadmap, as well as easy-to-use drag and drop features that allow anyone to analyze data easily.
... the problem is, our users aren't giving us feedback. Good or bad. We haven't really heard from them. :[ Which is where I need advice.
Once PostgreSQL is out I will test it :)
Got to spend time looking for places they hang out. For my product IH is the perfect place. Might be niche dev communities you can find, look at reddit etc.
Also try posting on https://news.ycombinator.com/ at about 10am San Fran time. Your servers might get spammed if it does well tho :)

Could you tell me what's the purpose of your software? Is it solving some problems that can't be solved with tools like mysqladmin?
The purpose is managing and editing databases, being able to access them easily and also collaborate with other teams on the data. Instead of developers doing all the work in retrieving data, marketers and planners can be permitted (limited) access to read/view the information! We’re also going to implement data visualization which makes analyzing data so much easier.
It’s also cross-platform (Windows, Mac, Linux), so teammates can resume working with/using the same UI/UX regardless of what operating system they use, which isn’t common with database tools. Currently, QueryPie only supports 3 databases... but in the future we’re planning on making it compatible with many more! :D

I could be wrong but I don't see any usage of such a tool. Data scientist have their own tools on a higher level than the database itself and developers don't manipulate their data too much, they focus on db structure. Administrators use panels to do their work. But I'm an old man and use psql console to most of my db tasks ;)
Give them $10 amazon gift card and you will see the difference!
This will probably be our next step, if it's within our budget. Thanks for the suggestion!
