How did I get a free traffic to https://ploito.com
Launch on HN by Y Combinator! But be ready for tough criticism and to respond to comments.
#buildinpublic
When we felt ready we did both a release on ProductHunt and a Show HN-post, got a total of 0 upvotes and got lost in the feed in an instant on HN. Would love to post again but have seen other people do the same and get completely roasted in the comments for it.
lets try again. Especially on PH. Take a loot at my article about PH, I think it's the most detailed guide https://ploito.com/en/articles/launching-on-product-hunt-guide
Thanks for the tip!
best wishes!
Done, Thank mate!
best wishes! the third day - i still get the traffic
I hardly got 6 upvotes before getting lost in the feed last time I tried.
Is there a best time to post on hackernews?
For the thing I just posted on HN (other comment on this post), I got 1 comment and 2 upvotes, but I tracked the traffic and so far have 88 visitors to my site.
My product isn't for the people viewing HN, so it makes sense that it didn't gain any upvotes, but was cool to see a good bit of traffic (for me) coming from it.
No idea about timing, though!
I got 1450 visits the first day, than 175, than 75)))
maybe to write some provocative title, I am not sure
Thanks for the reminder. Just did!

That's definitly a good step, but you can't rely on HN, most of the time, your post would just get lost in the feed. Unless, you've made something that specifically targets HN audience.
