How to get high quality feedback easily and for free?

A few months ago, I finished a small project: a website that generates transcriptions and summaries from videos, audio files, or pretty much anything you give it as input.

This project was more a way for me to learn than a real business ambition. Once it was built, I obviously tested it a lot myself, but I was not confident. I needed outside opinions. And that’s where things started to get complicated.

I first showed the site to my close circle (friends and family). Most of them told me it looked great, but didn’t even go as far as creating an account. Only two of them gave me real, useful feedback.

So I tried to get feedback from strangers on the internet. And I quickly discovered that on many platforms like Reddit, Facebook, and others, asking for feedback while sharing your link is considered promotion and often gets removed.

And in the places that are actually made for creators to share their projects and ask for feedback, I noticed something else: they are full of creators waiting for feedback… but very few people actually there to give feedback.

That’s when an idea came to me: all these app creators waiting next to each other for feedback, they would probably be willing to test each other’s products if it allowed them to get feedback in return.

From there, I pushed the idea a bit further: what if there was a platform with an exchange currency, let’s call it “credits” (what an imagination). You post your project, you test other people’s apps to “farm” credits, and you use those credits to pay for feedback on your own product.

The idea was simple, but it felt really good to me. I honestly thought something like this already existed. To my surprise, I couldn’t find anything even close to that.

So I decided to build the product I wished I had at that time. After several months of work, the site is now at MVP stage.
