How to get into SaaS?
Hello, everyone. I've had this question for awhile and was looking to get some advice. The question is, "How to get into SaaS?". I've heard most good product's come from personal experience. For instance, If you have a problem in your field and find software can benefit such problem. Well, I haven't done much in any field yet. I'm mostly wondering how I should find a problem if I'm not in a field yet? Overall I'm not sure which direction I should go towards. Any help is appreciated.
Well you could go work in some field for 5 to 20 years. Or you could meet a lot of people who have that amount of experience in that field and team up with them.
I enjoy meeting new people within SaaS, so this may be a good area to focus! Thanks for the response.

Well, you shouldn't be "in a field" to find a problem to solve. Let me explain, I've just launched Job Buddy (https://jobbuddy.app/), a web app to help people track their job applications across the web. While I was job hunting I realized career opportunities are so distributed on the internet (among job boards, aggregators or companies career pages) that it's a real mess, so I got the idea to create a tracker. I was not "in a field", I just experienced the problem as a user! And I think that this is the most motivating aspect since you are spending time and resources to solve a problem which was yours in the first place! Just brainstorm what you would like to be different in your daily life, and see if there is an opportunity.

Seems like a good way, only problem is I don't have client's as I'm not in a specific area yet. Maybe this is something I'll try if I pick an area down the road? Thanks for the response!
