Hey there, my name is Tiago and I built a tool that allows any slack based startup or community to create a virtual office.
Its called Indie Offices and it's my first B2B business.
My question for you now is:
What is the best way to reach out to new clients?
Is it reddit, cold emails, twitter or something else?
Do you know anyone in your target market? If so, then it's a great place to start.
Other than that, one of the best ways to validate a product and get your first customers is indeed direct sales using for instance cold email. I recommend this because compared to various marketing activities you can get started right away and see and measure the results.
Try to be personal in your emails and don't forget to follow up :)!
This blogpost may be useful to get started: https://blog.wobaka.com/how-to-validate-your-startup-idea-in-one-day/
Thank you. Will definitely do that and read your blog post. What is the conversion rate?
The conversion rate will vary a lot depending on the quality of your leads and your outreach. Don't aimlessly spam folks. Do your research and send thoughtful emails and you'll be alright :)
Hey @drikerf
I'd be interested to know a bit more about your cold email outreach workflow.
How do you build your prospect lists, how do you generate emails?
Are there specific tools you swear by?
Thanks :)
Hey @ViceCaz
I ended up making my own CRM and email automation system a few years ago when I was doing a lot of sales for my newsletter. It's called Wobaka and it's designed for this.
I also wrote a blogpost with step by step guide for my workflow here.
Basically you first define your audience (try to be specific!), create a list of prospects, design an outreach campaign and setup some CRM to keep track of follow ups. After you basically start sending and measure reply rates as you go :).
We also write one to one client mails with our product details and one page flyer on mail body
What is the response rate?
We do not end in one mail. Subsequently, we send them blogs on a weekly basis. The response rate differs with clients. Those who are in immediate need reply in 2 to 3 days.
We reach through Linkedin
I got my first client from a cold email. I wrote a blog post, then emailed it to businesses I thought would benefit.
It's hard work (to create something valuable and to find the best contact details) but it was a thrill when they responded within 5 minutes!
cold outreach through Linkedin or e-mail. You can ask your friends but this may put you in the wrong way. The hardest way is the best one.
