How to get my idea or product in front of people?

I've been hacking around trying to create a small profitable indie business for over a year now and the biggest bottleneck I've found to date is that I'm simply unable to drive enough traffic to either my MVP, finished product or just the landing page itself.

How do you go about getting enough eyeballs to your landing page or MVP? And where can I learn more about it, any marketing book recommendation or the likes?

The 19 channels of traction are worth thinking about and looking into as a rough guide of things you can think about.

Good to know you're taking one step further @berk

The first question is always "who is your customer/ audience?"

Secondly, identify the right channel or community where your customer's hangout.

Consistent instagram post, selected outreach, regular quora and design communities work pretty well for my project

Make sure you're generating high quality content regularly and also proactively listening to your customers what to improve.

    I would recommend:
    Book: Design to Grow, Hooked
Newsletter/ blog: Groove, Automizy, KlientBoost, OpenView Ventures

    All the best!

Craft an avatar that is exactly fit for your product.
A person with a pressing pain that your product solves that would say to you "just shut up and take my money".
Find where such person would hang out and join up.
Do things that don't scale if you can, like actually go talk to them if that's feasible and get feedback on how to serve them even better.

Capture emails and send really valuable info related to the problem you're trying to solve. Ask for replies and feedback or pain points. Be an actual human and care about your customers. It'll pay off.

Bottom line, Find who your people are, where they gather and become a part of their community.

You have to understand your target audience. Know what problem you are solving and for who, then connect to those communities where your target audience spends their time.
