Learn how to work without needing to be in one place at a time
Develop a skill, passionate about it. monetize it. Being in a rush is not a long term solution.
Remote Jobs Hunting sucks. Working remotely eliminates the 9-5 working hours duty and you can stay more productive. The prerequisite of working remotely is that you have to build skills that you are passionate about. Your application should stand out as you are competing with people internationally, not locally. Fewer applicants a better chance. A portfolio is a good means to showcase your work to companies. Be patient in these interviews. A lot of it is in your control and a lot of it isn't. Always stay positive, it's tough out there.
Some of the companies are not thinking to hire you for skills but rather they buy your time. You have not invested your time to learn skills to work for other companies, but rather make your own brand. As a startup, I started a jobs board for the digital nomad to connect an independent developer and designer to the companies.
Even you can start simple, like making mini-application like age calculator, color picker, etc and monetize your application as it grows. Your business is not going to shine overnight but it is a constant struggle. Do a job alongside with your business in mind.
