How to get started on Indie Hacker?

I am frustrated with the activity and participation at Indie Hacker.

I joined with enthusiasm but my efforts to post and create a following is not having any results.

I found product hunt relatively more responsive and participatory.

Any tips on how to create a following or establish a presence on Indie Hacker?
