How to get your Productized Service company acquired?

Before you start reading, this post is about asking for advice rather than telling an exit story.

I started The Scalelab in 2019 where we productized lead generation for B2B companies.

We essentially help companies find new clients via personalized and automated LinkedIn/Email outreaches.

From 2019 to 2021, we grew 4X up to a $160K ARR and recently signed some pretty sizable companies.

While we're continuing to grow, I am planning for 2022 to exit the company because I will be focusing most of my time on a Web3 project.

I'm thereby looking for any advice/support from fellow Indie Hackers who have exited or are in the process of exiting.

Questions to you:

  • Have you exited a productized service company?
  • If not, what is your exit strategy and how do you go about it.

Either way, I'm happy to connect :)

Cheers!

Companies like MicroAcquire and TinyCapital can help here - just reach out to them and they'll give you an offer.

You could also reach out to competitors/bigger companies but do so carefully and don't share any trade secrets before an agreement. Since your company is very small, engaging a banker/transaction manager will be hard.

Congrats on your success - GLHF!

Thanks @iamkv ! Had heard of MicroAcquire but not of TinyCapital. That's super helpful.

And indeed finding a broker at this size is little complicated as we typically don't fall in their sweetspot in size. Or at least I haven't found any yet that do take in small companies.

@iamkv if you went through the exit process before, I'd love to hear your story. Free for a quick chat next week?
