How to grow a YouTube Channel for a product?

A few months ago, we decided to start a YouTube channel. I've been trying to do content for more than five years now but never found a format that would feel genuine, valuable, fun to do, and repeatable.

Now we do content for Surfkey in a way that we set ourselves a goal or a challenge and then do it for one day. Like Doubling our user base in 24 hours or Writing blog posts for 12 hours straight and so on.

I enjoy it because it's not another entrepreneur sharing his wisdom but it's just us doing our best to build and grow our product while documenting it and sharing our experience and how we do things.

Which I believe might be inspirational for others like us.

Now the question is... how to grow a channel and content like that? People hate when only video is linked. Post reach on LI and Twitter is also low when there is a link.

My idea is to do a write-up, like what we learned from writing blogs, for 12 hours. But not sure if that's the most efficient way to grow.
