How to increase app downloads!

Hi everyone,

I would like to share with you how we increased our app downloads more than 10 times.

We have launched the Authenticator app 3 months ago and when we first released it, it was only available for iOS devices. In the first version, we have only added the basic necessary features like scanning 2fa codes, some icon generator for popular web pages, and synchronization. In the first 2 weeks, my app was downloaded no more than 2k times, it was more than we have expected taking into consideration that on the App Store the are some big players like Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, and Authy for this reason our expectations were low.

After we saw that there some demand for this kind of apps we decided to make a Mac version, and this was our best decision because the downloads doubled on iPhone. I still don't understand how the Mac version boosted the downloads on iPhone but this is how it is.

Maybe you have an answer because I don't!
