You need to optimize both for humans and for spam filters.

You need personal hand-written emails, on a one by one basis. They need to be short and to the point, starting with what's in it for them.

No pictures, no links, plain text-emails, no long introductions, unique subject lines. End the email with a question with a call to action.

Use little formatting, one single use of bold in the what's in it for them part, and that's it.

Use short signatures, no signature links.

You are trying to send the most human-looking email possible, and a short one.

Walls of text won't be read by almost anyone, they will trigger insta deletes.

Warm up your mailbox with a few emails to other people first, and have them reply back and forth. When people reply, ask questions and keep the conversation going, this will boost your engagement rate and send the signal to Gmail that you are not a spammer and people actually like being contacted by you.

Don't use any template or anything, each email is hand typed from scratch, don't copy/paste anything at all.

I forgot to mention, this is a ton of work, so hire someone to do it for it, train them and provide feedback on every email. Ask them to put you in CC of everything so that you can keep an eye on things.

After a couple of weeks, they will do it in auto-pilot.

Yep, but it is always better to learn by yourself and check others work. Otherwise you can't control what's going wrong with it.

After owning my business for 6 years, I agree with this. Short & simple is best. And relevant, helpful information for free builds trust and respect.

Great article! I've definitely struggled with getting responses to my outbound emails.

Interestingly, I found referencing recent and relevant news on the company to be an effective way to get responses.

Common news examples I've used are product releases, capital raises, or awards won.

The first section in my cold email would look something like this:

    ---
    Hi Onur,

Congrats on Nureply's recent product release! I saw your company mentioned in this article here (link to article)...
    ---

Then I would focus on the problem I'm solving, before introducing who I am / what I do.

I outlined the process I used in the article below. Hopefully, it helps you/ others break into their prospects.

    @onurgenes, Thanks for sharing!

To the point, eye-catching, short text, proper use of spacing, helpful and not selling behavior is the best option.

    Thanks for sharing this!

I found your other thread on Subject Lines very useful too, going to try out some of the practices there!
