How to integrate a subscription/ membership plan to a web application?

How do you create a subscription plan for your saas?
I've heard about Stripe, but Stripe isn't available where I currently live.
Neither Paypal is available here (due to Gov. policy to prevent money laundering) .

Is there any other reliable option?

Currently, I live in Bangladesh

Paddle - I've just wrote an initial review of them too.

+1 for Paddle, I use them for Digital Products (not subscriptions) payment processing and they are great. Easy to use dashboard and even better support if needed.

      Hi Scott,

From the review I went to your Astrola platform, which looks really cool. I'm still struggling to find a good, affordable platform to manage my docs/roadmap.

I am a bit confused by the pricing, why is the price based on the number of subscribers? What are even subscribers? I assumed it's a platform where I post my docs/roadmap and people can see it and vote on their features. I wouldn't necessarily need the Newsletter features, only the Docs, Roadmap, Feedback. I would instantly pay $10-$15/mo for just those features, if there's the possibility to have custom domains.

Congrats on making such a awesome-looking product, it definitely has huge potential if done right, I have always wanted a tool like that.

Hey @XCS! Thanks for checking us out :) It sounds like I need to update some wording to explain subscribers and contacts. Subscribers are used to measure our newsletter subscriptions as you've mentioned.

I'm considering offering a discounted rate for certain features such as "only documentation" or "only blogging" etc. My worry was that my pricing structure would be too fragmented that way. Maybe we can do a "Docs, Roadmap, Feedback" plan and a "Blog" upgrade path. It's early days, and just preparing our initial launch.

Happy to discuss further via email - [email protected]

Hey @XCS - took some of your feedback in mind and added an info bubble where you got confused on the contact/subscriber bit - thank you!

I've also added a section for small teams/non-profit to email for a nice discount off our plans - no expiry :) If you are interested in trying us out, we launch tomorrow! Thanks so much.

What'd you think of Stripe Atlas?

      1. 1

Don’t think it was a thing in the U.K. when I last looked. Not something we really need here as easy enough to start a ltd company.

It'll be helpful to say where you live, or at least what processors are available so others can give more useful advice

Alright. I don't know anything that could be of help.

I suggest you edit the main post and add this info for anyone else reading it.

start with finding what is available?
    wechat? alipay?
    Payoneer, bluesnap
maybe just google "payments processing companies"....

Like if a fully featured service that manages subscriptions isn't available, you might need to run a system with a lower level service that only does single charges and you have to hold the data and certify you service..

      Yes, Payoneer is available.

The thing is I've never worked on any kind of subscription application before, but recently for my application I started doing some researching on this, and almost on every post people recommend Stripe/ Paypal and says they offer hassle-free integration.

May be you could use Paddle or Gumroad for the payment integration.

Yes, I've read a medium post that talked about this and I've tried Transferwise Borderless.

I had created an EU account and the account was verified, but in order to access that account, I had to deposit 20 dollars (+vat) on the account.
The issue raised when I went to pay the money via card, it declined. I contacted my bank and they said I was trying to transfer/deposit money to a foreign bank account, and due to Gov policy to prevent money laundering, its not possible to transfer/deposit money to a foreign bank account from Bangladesh.
