How to kickstart and scale a marketplace

I spotted this article on Hacker News and thought it would be useful over here too. My side project leans closely to the logic around a marketplace and I've really been looking for an article like this. It looks to be a 4 part series which is great.

The author, Lenny Rachitsky, spent some time at Airbnb so is quite familiar with marketplaces.
