How to make a good quality podcast remotely?
I mean, my initial idea was to buy good quality mic but then I was like... wait, most of the people I would like to interview are literally living on the other continent. I will never be able to interview them in person.
And this is especially relevant now, where borders are closed and people don't want to meet in person in general.
So my question is: how do you make remote interview high quality?
Should I put out my money and just sponsor a cheap(er) but good microphone to every guest? Send them a microphone (if that's possible)?
Or just screw the quality, as long as it's relatively ok?

We've been using Anchor which is more than alright :) It pretty much just records your call and turns it into an audio file - and it's free!

If your guest wears headphones and they're in a quiet space generally it'll be OK.
I also recommend having them record locally on their end using QuickTime (MacOS) or Audacity (Windows / Linux) as that will sound better than a VOIP recording. You can also use a service like https://www.squadcast.fm or https://www.zencastr.com to do this for you.
