How to make a kid-friendly chat roulette?
I'd like to build a video chat app ie chat roulette but try to keep the amount of penises on it as close to zero as possible. Any ideas on how to tackle this?
I'm considering one of or a mix of:
- Login by Facebook
- Take a selfie photo before being allowed to video chat
However I don't want too many requirements before being able to use the product because I want the app to be minimal and as accessible as possible.
Could you limit the video feed to face only by using some kind of Snapchat style AR, to get rid of everything but the face? This could be an added feature, as in, the child could make an avatar, that they then "wear" to chat with other random kids. If it doesn't see a face, it just uses the avatar face instead. Anyone looking to hack it, would need genitals that look like exactly like a kids face, which is inherently disturbing, but not in the same way that normal genitals are.
I'd also recommend some kind of snapshot/auditable log/transcript of who the kid talked to, that could be shared with parents so that they build trust in the system.

Its not a business model I know well, but my nephew's have spent a fortune on in app purchases for Minecraft, Clash of clans, Fortnite... They brag to me about seeing rare items, skins or players. Is there something in there where you build around the idea of rarity, maybe even letting kids create skins to sell?
