How to make an indie hackers group GROW 🌱

Hi there! 👋

I'm copywriter and marketer. I'm also new in indie hackers.

This morning I was looking for some groups to join and i realized there is no group of copywriting!!! 😱

So I decided to create one by myself. 💪

This group is a place where you can share and get copywriting tips, and also share your copys so any of the members can review them.

Now I would like to make it grow and get people to join it.

¿Any advice? 🙌

I've though on posting it on my personal social networks and share in the group some copywriting tips every week so people get motivated to join and use it. 🤔

I appreciate every advice you give me! 😍

Thank you so much

Unrelated to topic but I'm curious if you have any data if emojis in text boost engagement rate?

I see you're using more than few in your post 😅

      😂😂
Maybe I'm using too much? Is that annoying?

Idk I'm just used to write that way. 🤷‍♀️

Although I've read that the use of emojis increase engagement, also makes people read the text completely and easier.

It depends on the audience. I tend to avoid and flag stuff filled with them. Emojis definitely slow down and hinder my reading when they're sprinkled throughout a message the way they are in this post.

Double spacing your sentences is also very annoying to me. Paragraphs are great! They organize sentences into logical blocks.

Okay I'll have that in mind.

I'm surprised about the paragraph thing because in Spain basically a text is only read if there is almost no paragraphs in it, so I always write this way when posting (I'm spanish).

          Thank you for your feedback!

        I think it's personal preference.

I find emojis annoying everywhere but I guess that's just me.

I've read somewhere that emojis in newsletter subject lines would increase CTR but also increase unsubscribe rate.

Sure, it also increases open rate but in subject lines as you said.

I don't really know if it makes any difference if you use emojis in the text itself.
