How to make money thru native ads/content marketing on free consumer app?
How do I get companies to pay me to put their native content ads or branded content on my site? Is there a marketplace for this?
I have a feeling a simple marketplace won't be enough because I need to talk to the companies about how to personalize their content so it would fit the rest of the content on my site.
Hi there. There is a few market places in this space. One of them is https://www.adyoulike.com/#publisher. They work primarily for major brands. I haven't worked with them yet, but my assumption is that they work with established publishers with relevant traffic. Happy to exchange ideas cause I seat in the same place as you.
I would find 10+ companies whose customers are your primary audience.
Then I'd reach out to them via email or even try personally contacting the marketing heads. Let them know your traffic numbers and clearly communicate the value you'd provide with their ads on your app.
