Congratulations to your friend for launching the Instant Meet Slack app! It's always exciting to see new products enter the market.

In terms of marketing a Slack app, there are a few things that your friend can try:

Leverage Slack communities: There are many Slack communities out there focused on specific topics or industries. Your friend can join these communities and share their app with the members. Just make sure to follow the community guidelines and avoid coming across as too spammy.

Reach out to influencers: If there are influencers in your friend's industry who are active on Slack, they may be willing to promote the app to their followers. Reach out to them and see if they would be interested in checking out the app.

Run ads: If your friend has a budget for marketing, they can try running ads on social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter, targeting people who use Slack or work in related industries.

      lovely tips.

I haven't thought of the ads idea. only because I assumed most of the trending Slack apps were able to make it without much ad spend. He is solely relying on cold outreach and managed to get 20-30 small companies on board but they are not pulling any further traction.

he tried with the company we work for and they rejected the idea because they are afraid he might "pull the users' data" haha!
