Talk to 20 users. Don't ask 'would you use this' ask 'when was the last time you did X (x being something your product does)'
Ask them how they are already solving the issue. Ask them how much they are spending to solve the issue.
Easiest and fastest way is.

That's exactly what we did when creating our educationanal courses. We kneew that there was a demand but we didn;t know which exactly professions to be learned are the most demanded.
