How to reach out for partnerships

I own a gift registry application for content creators to get gifts from fans. I want to partner with brands who'd like to be listed on our site and we send the order to them.

I've been sending out requests to partner with brands but never get a reply. I try email, instagram dms, linked in dm's, facebook dm's, and twitter dm's. I find it difficult to even find any contact info in the first place. Many people don't have open dm's or share their emails.

I'm not sure if it's my approach or if it's my messaging. Since I never get any responses I wonder if they're even seeing the messages.

How do you get brands to partner with you?

I wanted to share my conversation with a mentor:

    Dashiell Rose Bark-Huss:
Hey I’m having difficulty trying to find brand partnerships. Like can’t find who to contact. When I do it never gets a response. I’m not sure if it’s my messaging or my approach- by approach I mean that I’m sending them cold dms and emails.
    Do you have any advice?

    Mentor:
How many times are you reaching out?

    Dashiell Rose Bark-Huss:
    To the same person? Once
    Should I bother them more?

    Mentor:
    Yeah
    Three times
First email a longer one, and second should be one or two lines
Also custom screen recording that’s less than a min can help
    Point them to the video
Also let them know how they will benefit, very few people respond out of the goodness of their heart

    Dashiell Rose Bark-Huss:
For email should it all be in the same email thread? Like are the second emails providing more information on the original email?

    Mentor:
    Yeah
    Well no
It should be a reply to the same thread, but the second and third email should be short. You can just point them to the original email
When we did more cold emails at our company we got better responses on the second email versus the first
Also everyone gets so much crap in there inbox the more you can personalize it the better

    Dashiell Rose Bark-Huss:
Ok cool. “Custom screen recording”- so like personalize my voice over for example to mention their name or brand as opposed to a template video I send everyone?

    Mentor:
Template video can work if it’s short. Could take a ton of time to make personal ones
But for big ones a custom one works

There's some cool tools out there that might be able to help with minor video personalization

haven't tested it at all, or checked for alternatives, but something like: https://speakeasy.digital/

whoa thats pretty cool. I was actually thinking of doing a similar version of this where my mouth is somehow not in frame just when I saw the persons name or other personalized part. Then I can keep the video while vocally recording over that part.

      Thanks for sharing! Cool ideas!
