How to receive tasks for productised service?
Hey everyone. I want to start a productised service. I am wondering, what would you use to receive tasks/requests?
I am looking for a tool that would allow someone to submit work, monitor progress, receive results. Yes, it can be something like a trello board.
I am looking for something that's affordable or free or self-hosted, because the service will have quite a lot of users with smaller pieces of work to do, so paying ~$10-20 per user is out of question.

I'm using Notion and adding guests. The 100 guest limit is more than enough for what I need to run https://contrast.studio. I can remove old clients that no longer needs access.

Notion is great. Yeah, i do the same - i have a page that i duplicate for each client and add them as guests to it. It has everything they need - onboarding info, task view, space for asset links, etc.
I think you shouldn't look at this as just a cost, because the downside of not being able to control your business, especially in terms of customer experience, is very significant.

Regarding the options, you can also look for solutions with a fixed price, where you pay a fixed amount and don't pay more for users, which ends up solving your two problems. Sure, happy to pay, but operational efficiency is also important. It is not a premium service.
I also believe that the quality of the task monitoring features is so essential, I could build the simple system myself that answers all my customers needs. I am looking for something to start with though. Already have customers lined up.
