Does anyone have advice on how to run a CPC auction for a publisher?
Specifically I have 3 spots for advertisers on a page on my site, and I'm trying to figure out a way that is fair for everyone, transparent, and that I don't get yelled at if I'm constantly telling the advertisers that the price has increased.
For my 3 spots right now, one is at $1/click, one is $2/click, and one is $4/click. The $2/click wants to move into position one, which would be $5/click,. Do I then see if the current number one is is willing to pay $5? Or do they have to pay $6? Do I start a bidding war? Does the loser then go back down to $2/click?
I only have practice in conventional auctions. Some of the activities that are most popular in tenders are repairs and construction. Unlike in the recent past, not only state-owned companies now organise tenders, but also all sorts of private companies. Moreover, even individual entrepreneurs can organise a tender and determine the best supplier. I was offered to write a letter of invitation to tender, but I know that there was no template for an ITT to submit a bid. Also pay special attention to the scope of work: a small company will not be able to complete an order that is too large in time without violating the terms of the contract.
